The owners and managing directors of actionfactory (Rolf Schmitz) and fit4dogs (Norma Zvolsky) met by chance in 2004. The idea of the fit4dogs line was born in the very first conversation: products especially for retrievers and the retriever guide.
The idea, which was certainly bold at the beginning, has now - after more than 18 years - turned out to be the "perfect idea". The expertise of both completely different specialists has complemented each other fabulously and led to technically high-quality and extremely practical products for the dog. To name but a few: the warmup© cape "classic", the warmup© cape PRO, the dryup® cape , dryup® body zip.fit® and all active© capes.
Rolf Schmitz (sports scientist and sports teacher) and his wife Ekaterini Schmitz (textile engineer) founded Action Factory in 1985. The expertise of the two stands for the extraordinary company philosophy "Sport and Textile". In the 90's Action Factory made a special name for itself with highly technical snowboard clothing and was to be found as a brand in all large retail chains (Karstadt, Kaufhof, Sport Scheck, Intersport etc.) in the then booming trade. In the production of the sportswear, particular emphasis was placed on the best possible technical fabrics and high-quality workmanship!
Norma Zvolsky grew up with dogs. Since 1991 she has been leading her retrievers very successfully in sporting and hunting competitions. This passion has taken up an ever larger space in her life. After her first training book "Die Kosmos-Retrieverschule" (The Kosmos Retriever School) was published in 2002, the demand for this special training soon grew and in 2007 the training centre fit4dogs was founded. In 2007 another book the "Retrieverschule für Welpen" (Retriever School for Puppies) was published and in 2010 the "Trainingsbuch für Retriever" (Training Book for Retrievers). In the meantime, these three books, with more than 60,000 copies sold, have become standard works in retriever work.
Many ideas have developed from the interaction of technical expertise, knowledge of textile production processes (actionfactory) and the analysis of dog and human needs in dog sports by (fit4dogs). A great example of outstanding synergy effects!
The fit4dogs line is characterised by high-quality practical products for the dog, technically advantageous materials and excellent workmanship. It is produced exclusively in Europe. The high quality standards are reflected in the durability and longevity of the products.
